Verrone’s Sandra J (BB FD OR)
Size: BB Small
Form: FD Formal Decorative
Color: OR Orange
Growers Notes
Color: Deep orange and rusty red. The petals have a two toned look highlighted by the fun shape of each petal.
Growth habit: 5’ & 6’ tall, grown in two places in our 2024 season. Stems are strong and come up straight from the plant.
Blooming habit: Moderate bloomer, flowers stayed large at 5”, and take their time opening all the way back to touch. Centers started out with an ugly green eye (this was a strange season where we experienced many open centers on several of our dahlias at the start) but thankfully they closed up and stayed tight through the rest of the season.
Features: Stems stand tall holding the weighty blooms above the foliage. Great flower for cuts as well as a fun addition to the garden.
